I too am having this issue with an ASUSTeK motherboard, Core2Duo 6700
CPU, NVIDIA chipset machine.
If I cold boot 2.6.17-10-generic it hangs with:-

both produce blank pages on the same printer. Printing from a non-Ubuntu

Just to confirm there's nothing screwy with the printer itself, I just
printed to it from a Jaunty (well, Jolicloud, but that's a jaunty
derivative) installed machine, and got the test page fine.

Looks like blueman conflicts with gnome-bluetooth, so I didn't have
gnome-bluetooth installed because I used blueman to configure the

When I toggle in bluetooth off and on with the applet it switches the
hcibluetooth soft blocked one from no to yes and back.
