Ok, I actually don't need the .la files, so just leave them out. But I do need the header and pkg-config files (/usr/include/libspreadsheet-*/spreadsheet and /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libspreadsheet-*.pc), and these aren't in any package right now. 16 months later and this issue is still there and not even a reply. Is anyone reading these bug reports at all? Shoulkd I report the bug somewhere else? This issue may not be important for many, as there aren't many 3rd party developers of Gnumeric plugins right now, but it's important for me. Not

I can confirm that the 1.12.04.2 package from precise-proposed works for me, too (tested with the Frescobaldi MIDI player). Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1110326 Title: portm

2013-02-02 Thread Albert Graef
Alessio, could you please revisit the portmidi update that you released a few days ago? It's a minor glitch, but the libportmidi.so from the 12.04.1 update isn't properly linked and breaks Python+PortMidi applications such as Frescobaldi. Until this is fixed in the official repos, I've uploaded a corrected package for Ubuntu 12.04 to the PPA given below, so that everybody can test it out (please give it some time, the 64 bit package is still waiting to build at the time of this writing). I've tested it with Frescobaldi, works for me

Found it. The issue is with debian/patches/05_makefile.diff. The link command in the patched Makefile is wrong, it has the -lasound2 -lpthread options (ALSALIB variable) before everything else. This won't work with gcc 4.6+ which is very picky about the order of linked libraries (unless you link

Public bug reported: The gnumeric packages in Ubuntu currently lack the development files. Apparently (according to a comment in the rules file) libspreadsheet isn't considered mature enough. This is a mistake IMHO. Mature or not, these files are needed, in particular, to build Gnumeric plugins wh
