Yes. I have fixed this bug upstream in Debian, with version 0.3.1. As such, the
status of this bug is 'Fix Released'.
I'm not up to date with how Ubuntu choose Debian packages to pull in, but for
whatever reason pulled in the latest version.

This bug has been fixed with the latest version pushed to Debian.
Although the latest version has passed my own tests, if you would like
to perform any further tests before it has migrated to Ubuntu, you can

Done some testing with both lucid and maverick on a Dell Latitude E5410
here -
With maverick, installing gobi-loader, dropping the firmware into
/lig/firmware/gobi and rebooting works first time, nice and easy.
With lucid, I had absolutely no success at all. Installed gobi-loader,
backports etc.
I can confirm the solution posted in comment #280 works for me on my
E5410
