I tried after an update and dist-upgrade and removed all the nvidia-*
packages from my system. Did a sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

I had this problem today.
The underlying problem seems to be that my HD had some blocks linked
twice or something of that sort. I believe the hard drive might be too
old already.
I forced a fsck and let it correct all the inodes and stuff.
I'm still wondering what's the best way I can I fix

authenticates with WEP to my router and gets a DHCP IP just fine, but

I initially thought on building it onto my PPA, but I'm relatively new
to the inner workings of Debian/Ubuntu packages. If someone is kind
enough to point me on the right directions I'd be pleased to get Maven
kicking on Ubuntu.
Also if clear instructions are provided I could do my best
Just today I've installed XChat-GNOME on Gutsy and as you can see theres
still no icon, not in the XChat-GNOME window nor on the Applications
menu.
