@alexwolf
I built a version of stellarium from source following the instructions
on the wiki and I still see the same behaviour (X hang after leaving
fullscreen mode and going to windowed). I removed ~/.stellarium before
running and I'll attach the log from this run.
Is there are way of increasin
Yes, confirming that I built with 0.14.2.
I deleted the install and and build directory and started building with
'cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ../..'
after installing, I deleted the stellarium config ('rm ~/.stellarium') and ran
stellarium with the -d option.
Pressing F11 to invoke windowed
No hang when using the trunk build. This appears to have fixed the bug,
although I'll try to play with it more to confirm that it doesn't re-
appear.
Thank you for your help in debugging this issue.

Ok, it's not entirely fixed. I think I've seen two triggers for a hang
1) Switching to windowed mode from fullscreen (Now fixed)
2) Running for ~1 minute, either idle or with interaction (NOT fixed).
I've attached a log from case 2, still from the trunk debug build, with

Sorry for my very slow response.
I still see this issue after moving removing the config (#12) and
switching to windowed mode (F11)

Not quite. After restarting nautilus it does follow changes made to the

The issue is specific to nautilus (as far as I've seen). It usually

the issue). I've attached a before and after image to illustrate the

My display is 2560x1440. I have the HIDPI setting at 1.75 to increase

Since upgrading from 15.04 to 15.10, nautilus does not follow the HIDPI

I deleted my compiz settings to have them replaced by defaults and
everything is working as expected now. The bug can probably be closed,
although it would be nice to know the cause of the issues.

After upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 the workspace switcher causes
graphical corruption and/or the system to hang. All screens are white.

In Oneiric this is mostly fixed for me. The only case where I can
trigger a window move is when I have one near the bottom of the
workspace in workspace 2 or 4 and call the window from workspace 1 or 3.
