firefox 10.0 find as you type keyboard shortcuts broken

open firefox. edit > preferences > advanced> general.
enable "search for text when i start typing". close preferences.
you might need to restart firefox for this setting to take effect.
while looking at a webpage with text, type a word that you see multiple
times.

i can't test this bug on the original hardware because that hardware
died.

my laptop certainly looks like it's hibernating (takes a while to shut down,
then beeps), but on boot i never see
a "resume image found" message, and, indeed, i must log in to a new session of
gnome.
this happens reliably every time i have tried to wake from hibernate.
