I noticed this after uninstalling Evolution and lots of evolution-
something packages. It turns out gnome-about-me uses files provided by
the evolution-data-server package. Now, currently gnome-control-
center recommends evolution-data-server, so I probably shouldn't have
removed it. But given

I don't understand Mr. Sack's answer. A normal user know nothing about

installs Firefox 3.5, that icon named Firefox should start Firefox

Thanks for looking into this. What I mean is that the two starting dots
at destination path are missing. What we currently have is similar to
what we'd gets by typing this:
cd /usr/share/doc/bash
sudo ln -s completion-contrib /bash-completion/contrib
sudo ln -s README.bash_completion.gz
Oops! I guess I inverted things. Sorry. Here are the two corrected
versions:
Wrong:
cd /usr/share/doc/bash
sudo ln -s /bash-completion/contrib completion-contrib
sudo ln -s /bash-completion/README.gz README.bash_completion.gz
Correct:
cd /usr/share/doc/bash
sudo ln -s
Thanks for your reply. My .xsession-errors as of after I reload the
applet is attached. The only difference between this and the way it is
before I pkill trashapplet and click the reload button are the last
two lines:

Most times, when I login the trashapplet doesn't appear in the panel. I
have to open a terminal, do a pkill trash, then click the button for
it to reload and then appear where it should.
My system: Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit, gnome-applets
Thank you very much! Following your instructions allowed me to compile
it. For anyone interested, here are links to my compiled version (you'll
need both files):

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I've found lots of broken symbolic links inside
/usr/share/doc/openoffice* by using this command:
$ find -L /usr/share/doc/*office* -type l -exec ls -l {} \;
Here's the full list, minus non-relevant columns:

Binary package hint: kde-l10n-ptbr
There are a lot of invalid symbolic links on both the kde-l10n-pt and
kde-l10n-ptbr packages (and probably others, but I haven't checked).
They can be found with the following command:
$ find -L /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/* -type l -exec ls

Binary package hint: bash-completion
bash-completion adds two symbolic links to /usr/doc/share/bash, but they
point to non existent files, as some dots are missing:

The following symbolic link, installed by the libsane package
(1.0.19-23ubuntu7), is invalid unless libsane-dev is also installed:

So, IMHO it would be a good idea to either let libsane-dev create it

IMHO, rather than implementing this only for gksudo, it would be nice
to have it for kdesudo and gksu too.
