Confirmed the "no sound" bug running Feisty on Thinkpad T30, kernel 2.6.20-16-386. I also have a problem with humming speakers when the lid is closed and the volume is set to maximum. Neither of these issues had appeared running Edgy (2.6.17-11-386) Setting HIBERNATE_MODE to platform probably fixe
