I have this problem on Lucid. I have /etc/gre.d/1.9.2.13.system.conf with contents: [1.9.2.13] GRE_PATH=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.13 xulrunner=true abi=x86_64-gcc3 (identical to Andi Albrecht) p.s. A fix involving hand-editing system-owned files is absolutely nothing more than a really bad hack.
