Yeah, Quod Libet still ran fine after receiving the message, so i don't
think its too big of a problem, and its the first time I've seen the
error

Just had the same error, i was installing quodlibet at the time via
terminal.

Had the same problem just now after chmod ing my home dir, would take
5min or so to log in, before giving me the error above.
Going into preferences>sound>sounds and disabling ESD solved it.
