The installer slideshow is a very useful feature for new users (and old
users alike). I've been using Ubuntu for years, but it still helped me
when I saw the slideshow. I found out about cool features that weren't
given attention.

Can't set other apps to be on indicator-applet by default

On indicator applet, I see Empathy and Evolution by default. Apps like
Pidgin and Gwibber appear on the applet, but that occurs only if they
are opened by the user.

On Karmic, the battery monitor on the system tray says "Laptop battery
is fully charged" all the time. However, when I click it, the drop-down

I was going to report a bug on Gwibber so I clicked "Report a problem"
under the "Help" menu. Nothing happened. I had to "ubuntu-bug gwibber"
on the terminal, which is something not known to many users.

Apparently, it has to be dragged up from the bottom of the window, which
is difficult to find without assistance.

I never had problems with my T4215 in 9.04. I am seeing this exact behavior in
9.10 however.

You need to install grub version 1 if your Karmic install is using
grub2. VMbuilder will then be able to create an image but the next
problem is the image will not boot unless you manually install grub.
Grub seems to be unable to find the grub stage files.
