compiz crashes while running firefox, thunderbird, gimp or i

Compiz is crashing whenever i start thunderbird or while running firefox (with
flash video), or working on gimp or inkscape.
Once it crashes, it can be restored by compiz --replace. But crash frequency is
too high to just ignore it.
