I redid a new feisty herd 3alternate installation and it worked perfectly.
So I think the problem was only with burning of the cd. At the opposite, I did
an feisty herd 3 desktop installation and it get stuck at the end of the

As you mentioned, I removed the quiet splash at boot screen (F6) and
start the the installation. I did the complete installation and got no
sound coming from the machine. So, to be sure, I redid the test by

is not supported. It's normal it's the machine has a i386 processor. I
