The problem is reproducible in 8.10, so I don't understand why the
status was changed to Wont' Fix.

In Gusty, I modified the mozpluggerrc file to change the default viewer
for PDF files, and I erased the .\mozilla\firefox\pluginreg.dat too. The
default viewer for PDF files did not change until I removed the mozilla-
acroread package.
