I think this mostly depends on what cat /proc/sys/vm/zone_reclaim_mode is set
to by default on Ubuntu 12.04 ... If you have it at 1, then you should be able
to reproduce it ... at least in theory ... because possible changes to the
kernel might have already changed the behavior too.

I experienced the same boot hangup on a 64 bit 12.04 Ubuntu after the
update of plymouth to Version: 0.8.2-2ubuntu31
I had a missing swap partition in my /etc/fstab file which triggered some
mountall warning before.
Seems like the new plymouth takes this error seriously and the system will not

double check, is it maildir or mixedmaildir account?
Can you check that after the move (but before refresh), is the mail still
physically on the disk in the inbox folder? You can check the location in the

or the mail sent to @kde.org ([Bug 283548] Only first filter in chain works for
incoming messages)?
I see the second (the kde.org mail) is deleted from inbox, so i guess that's

I have T500.
Touchpad is gone unresponsible after a few minutes of usage.
I was also unable to switch it on and off with Fn+F8
(The small red trackpoint is still usable.)
#46 worked for me. (#26-#27 not, #32 not,#45 not)

I got similar problems using single monitor configuration, just after upgraded
my ATI card driver to the latest AMD propietary driver (12.2). Compiz used
50-80% of my CPU.
Before I used AMD propietary driver (12.1) without experiencing this problem.
So I consider this as a regression.

I just experienced a crash indicator-application-service crashed with SIGSEGV
in g_object_unref() using Oneiric (11.10) AMD64 and Unity 2D.
I'm not sure if this is the same bug.
It happened only first time, no it would be really hard to reproduce.

Same problem here. (Using Oneiric, 64 bit.)
Actually the 3G modem is SWITCHED OFF by a HW switch.
(If it is necessary I could check if this problem also happens if the HW swith
is ON.)

I have the same situation as D. Hugh Redelmeier (except my Oneiric is updated
from Natty)
and I agree with Him in the followings :
Is your proposed fix to nvidia-common supposed to fix jockey's handling
of installing proprietary AMD drivers (fglrx)? That seems rather
counter-intuitive.
