I had this issue just now as well. I rolled back to the previous kernel and it works. I am new to Linux, so I know zero about how to capture errors and all that, but I'm running an Asus laptop and haven't even figured out how to list my hardware using Mint yet. I have a long way to go before I can replace windows with THIS, especially if it's prone to bugging out where I can't boot.
