Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp Everything worked fine in 8.10 and before. In 9.04 it fails. The server (U of Illinois) I connect to wants you to set 128 bit encryption and disable the 40 bit. I worked around the problem by replacing the gconf file, ~/.gconf/system/
