mew should optionally depend on emacs-snapshot. Right now, emacs22 will
be pulled in as a dependency, while mew works fine on emacs-snapshot.

My T61 failed to suspend, I had to shut it down by pressing the power
off button for 3 seconds. This is an intermittent failure, suspend
worked fine several times before, and I didn't have this kind of problem
with Jaunty.

I can not reproduce this issue on intrepid/i686 with the builtin erc of
emacs22-gtk-22.2-0ubuntu2.
@era: are you absolutely sure that you're not accidentally using an
older version that you installed locally? What does M-x locate-library
erc print out?

I can confirm this behaviour in intrepid, it is sufficient to join a
channel with a private channel key, setting the private channel key, and
calling /quit.

I own a T61 76633LG, suspend works (mostly) fine out of the box with
hardy. I didn't have to do any changes, IIRC; I surely didn't edit XML
for that. Applying the proposed changes for my machine made matters
worse here, suspend would take over a minute to complete and the screen
would stay blank on
This bug has relatively low impact: when uninstalling the haxe package,
one byte-compiled emacs lisp library (per emacs flavor, approx. 35K in
size) remains on the system. It is not loaded by emacs anymore because
the startup file is cleanly removed.
