I just tested the files with standard LaTeX installation, that is with no

After doing the trick of salubrium, I don't experience the problem anymore. I'm
able to to empty trash without crash nor warnings.

I have a gnome desktop by default and I wanted to try KDE4, so I
installed kubuntu-desktop.
Kde4 was unusable, it tooks more than 4 minutes before seeing the
desktop and it was lagging a lot. I was no able to launch any program.
To understand what was happening, I first logged into tty1 and ran

I think this was linked to the bug of the "mismatch even after a sync" thing.
Evolution does not crash anymore since I followed instructions on Gnome's
bugzilla.

I tried several times to build the kernel but always had the same issue:
linux-headers-2.6.27-2-generic depends on linux-headers-2.6.27-2; however:
Package linux-headers-2.6.27-2 is not installed.

adding 'options snd-hda-intel model=dallas' to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
solves the problem. However, the signal is weak and sound is not loud.
With the same amplifier I get 3 times louder sound with a CD player than
with the computer.

Hope those will be useful. I'm not sure, this crash is linked to the one
the bug report is about. What I did to get them is emptying the trash in
evolution.
