the interesting part is that the full dialog was not shown. Even if
i-network would have crashed after requesting the dialog, unity8 still
should load it and show it fully.
Then again, the dialog would not do anything if i-network is dead, so
the notification-service (unity8) should monitor the
the cog should only be shown if the indicator-service is not running,
but looking at the screenshot the menu is populated just fine, so this
might be a (maybe already fixed bug) in unity8 indicator selector.

That's a crash in media-hub-client. I was not seeing this on utopic-
proposed (krillin #85) but was constantly hitting it on rtm-proposed
(krillin #104).
So probably something that has been fixed on utopic-proposed in either
libmedia-hub-client or dbus-cpp...

Although the retrace has failed just looking at the signatures makes me
think of uncaught exception. At least in i-network we had to guard all
calls to core::dbus::Bus::run() inside try-catches as
looking at the report mterry posted it looks like coming from qtubuntu-
media. I'm not familiar with that code base but after having a quick
look these caught my eye:

How much effort would it be to actually build pristine images per silo
that contain the packages in the silo?
Each time we have to make the images writable and add silo ppa's
manually and run apt-get we effectively taint the testing results as
they don't match the state that a released image

I would strongly advice against this for the RTM timeframe. System-
settings and the wizard are two separate applications and implementing
the Connect to hidden network inside the wizard right now is not
trivial.
I would suggest postponing this to ota-2, when hopefully we have
Connectivity API
This is not doable for RTM timeframe. Until we have Connectivity API
with proper QML bindings supporting the whole Wifi connecting usecase,
implementing this feature as mpt described is simply not feasible.
