I installed on Ubuntu 13.04 and get this error after one of the updates
for a new kernel. I doubt the issue is connected to that, but it is NOT
directly related to the installation of 13.04 Raring.
I am NOT dual-booting. Exclusively Ubuntu 13.04

How do I get this fix? I get a CompIZ abort several times in a day. I
can't think of anything I am doing consistently that will cause the
abort. If this is an important piece of software, then why does my pc
seem to work while it is going through the abort report process?

I have asked ASUS for help. Typed in a page of stuff, noting UEFI
requires specific directory, while BIOS does not allow me to specify.
Hope they have a quick and accurate response.

Separate comment. ubiquity is very slow on downloads. I have a 2 gigabit

System Monitor was 16 MBps.
Pathetic. Any way to speed this up?

I continued my battle, and wound up in an unexpected place. I have a new

I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 a couple of weeks ago, and RB has a problem
with my over 45,000 mp3 and flac music directories. I uninstalled it,
waited a day, then installed. It worked the first day, but today, as it
began to read the directories, it froze...

Public bug reported:
I recently upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10. Yesterday I added a new USB
drive. I installed GParted which did its part. Then I went looking for
DiskManager and found it is not installed. Disk is installed, but does
not allow me to 'take ownership' of the drive.
SO, the situation
More information. I did the 'verify' things are plugged in thing and
plugged my headphones directly into the sound card.
Amazing, I can hear sounds.
So my question now is... What can cause the S/PDIF cable to die?
I will cancel this bug report.

It looks like the issue is the 'default' sound card was switched from my

the default device and the CMI8788 Oxyg
