Other workarounds too don't seem to be working anymore. Somehow this has a
really low severity when it really shouldn't.
A lot of HP and other laptops come with this device.

Agreed, random and rare, but after a while it exaggerates. Not a big

Right now there's no option to hide the scroll bar and menu bar in
xfce4-terminal --drop-down .
Sure, one can disable the scroll bar and menu bar but that will make it
disappear from th normal xfce4-terminal window as well.

Looks like this an issue related to boards with Intel integrated
graphics. I may be wrong. Also on some occasions the corrupt mouse would
get fixed by itself like on trying to take a screenshot.
