I have the same issue but I get mine when I try to install glx-
alternative-nvidia and trying to install the dependencies fails.
user@hostname:~$ sudo apt-get install glx-alternative-nvidia

hmm...not that familiar with the kernel but I found the hda intel
(snd-hda-intel) module in:
/lib/modules/your current kernel version/kernel/sound/pci/hda/
Don't know if you can just replace it with the latest kernel module from
11.04 version.

Yep this bug affects me too. I have a Lenovo T60 and under 11.04 the
sound was great, but after upgrading the sound is all distorted with
crackling noises. Right after a reboot the sound is fine and will stay

If I set (at Customize Theme - Colors) normal black-on-grey colors for
windows, and white-on-black for tooltips (I don't like yellow), the
'enhanced' gtk2 (?) tooltips will be unreadable, black-on-black (!). The
standard tooltips work just fine.
