Same problem for me trying to copy text from evince to gedit.
I have also tryed to copy from acrobat reader (included in medibuntu
repository) to gedit and the problem persist.

I don't understand where is the problem with the mantainers of that repository;
the package is present, the only thing to do is to add it in the package list.
Maybe is it a good idea to send a mail to mantainers?

but i don't understand why it does not appear using the repository.
However realplay package is not present in medibuntu repository
