I still get corruption on my VTs and something new is happening. If I
switch to a VT and switch back to X all I see is a blank screen and my

Just booted without splash for another bug and saw this in the boot
screen:

I just did it and now I don't get the messages when I boot, but there
are still no entries in /dev/mapper when I boot and if I run sudo dmraid
-ay when I'm running the entries come up in /dev/mapper.
The attached package works for me, but the dmraid is not set up on boot.
When I rebooted I had to run sudo dmraid -ay manually to get the proper
entries in /dev/mapper

In dapper when kernels were updated the grub list became long, it's good
that in edgy there are only 2 entries (not counting the recovery and
memtest). I think the generic kernel should be defaulted to however with
the 386 available as a failsafe rather than the default.

It's not always the second cpu it seems. I just logged on and the first
cpu was off. But one cpu is always off, first or second. It's almost as
if the applet is not initializing properly when there's more than one.

This does not seem to be an issue for me. Do you get an error message?
In my case if I adjust the time and close the tool right after I do that
the change is not made, but leaving the tool window open a little will
update the time in the panel. Then the tool can be closed.

that LinuxThreads wasn't fully POSIX compliant.
There are some corner cases in the realm of signal delivery which LT
couldn't do. NPTL does those correctly now, however, and in those cases
we consider the application rather than NPTL to be buggy.

running upstart in --debug mode, I see that:
init: cfg_read_job: Loading rc-default from /etc/event.d/rc-default
is in there. I don't see anything in the code to dump an event tree.
I'll try to see if I can get this thing into gdb and look at the data

Thanks, Jim. I'm pasting the body here so that I have it when I'm
offline:
The fchownat function is supposed to operate on the named
symlink argument when given the AT_SYMLINK_NOFOLLOW option.
Unfortunately, with Ubuntu unstable (updated an hour or two ago)
it mistakenly dereferences a symlink
On current edgy, X hangs solid as soon as it starts up so I'm having a
bit of trouble telling. =/
My machine had to go into the shop to replace the power supply, so I
haven't been hacking on this recently. I will start again soon.

I've added a gcc to this bug. Looking at the debdiff, I don't see any
way that this was introduced with a change in glibc.

I second the motion to put this in dapper-updates. This is the third
package broken out of the box from Dapper, the supposedly stable, long
term release. Please do the right thing and at least push this update
out.
Mldonkey is not part of the core release and therefore doesn't have
the testing

On my powerpc64-SMP (R300) machine, the update to 6.6.1 causes the
machine to hang as soon as X is started. The system is current edgy
except the kernel (edgy kernel also has troubles on ppc64)
