This problem probably still exists:

It could probably be tweaked to realpath it and append it to ${rootmnt}
or something like that.
Marking as low priority - anyone playing with their init can set in
r releases, so we
won't touch this code further.

Confirmed that I see this with current edgy, but if you stop and start
gdb between each iteration the backtrace is fine.
Nothing here smells like glibc, however, so I'm reassigning it to gdb.

Nope, the upload today wasn't that fix. We discovered today during the
toolchain bof at the development summit that the gcc-4.1 that glibc had
been built against was too old, and didn't include the stack smashing
protection code. This was essentially a simple rebuild against a newer
compiler.

But even with all our patches removed, it's still not searching for the
coreutils.mo file. That was the build that I ran overnight last night.
