Public bug reported:
If light-locker is totaly disabled in settings, 'lock' button in whisker menu
does nothing.
When light-locker is enabled with no acitivities
light-locker --lock-after-screensaver=0 --no-lock-on-suspend --no-late-locking
the button works fine.
No errors in logs.

Exactly the same problem (cursor invisible but working after suspend via lid
close) on hp probook 4520s, xubuntu 14.04 x86_64
The problem exists with or without light-locker running
Workaround #26 works :)
