This was brought up to the ParaView developers as well by the Debian
maintainer (Anton). The problem is that generate_links.sh is no longer
necessary and should be removed from the VTK6 package (ParaView as
well).

"solve" it by just shipping a clipboard manager with the default install
(Fedora does this I imagine and I know the KDE install comes with
klipper by default). The behavior as-is is NOTABUG (using bugzilla

Did Karmic switch which Phonon backend is the default? We have an issue
in Fedora where if you switch the backend, the settings for the outputs
don't match with the other and things break. Maybe the PulseAudio output
is not the default under the new mappings?
