I also can confirm that in Ubuntu 12.10 and Tilda 0.09.6 the issue is still
there.
Also unchecking animation seems to fix the problem.

wrokaround : installed synergy 1.4.10 from source (1) and compiling (2) solved
the problem.
May be that version from download page (3) can solve it too (currently 1.4.9)
