I had exactly your experience with no wifi after upgrade.
As a coincidence, when adding a Bluetooth mouse, I happened to realise that my
laptop also has an Fn-command to toggl
I have had exactly the same problem when using Kubuntu Karmic. Now after
upgrading to Lucid, using the standard Ubuntu repository, the problem
remains. After a reboot, images show up just fine, but after a couple of
images inserted, the problem reappears and it is just painfully slow.
