When I use Sound Recorder as a non-root user to record in MP4, the saved file
cannot be played back. Not even by the root user.
The error message is:
This file contains no playable streams.
However I am able to record in MP4 if I run as root:
Problem solved. Or did I? At first, I was baffled what was consuming 60%
of one of my four cpus, as shown by system monitor. System monitor
itself was 10%.
So I increased the number of columns to display in system monitor. The
d-bus daemon usage for that cpu went up to 80%. I tried to exit from

Open Nautilus from unity launcher, click on File System on left panel to
browse the root.
Click on any root directory, and nautilus crashes.

Am I certain it is a bug?
That depends on the perspective if this is a feature or a bug. But having two
sets of top left [close/min/max] buttons, one on top of the other is visually
a bug.
Chrome wants to supply its own skin and close/min/max buttons. Unity
wants unity

I'm on 64bit 9.04.
I want to upgrade to studio.
I just spent 2 hours downloading studio iso.
I don't want to deb the ubuntu upgrade site because that is a waste of time.
I don't want to make a dvd because that is a waste of plastic because I want my
great grandchildren not have to suffer further
