In gnome 3.18 with nautilus/files (3.18.0) when mounting a remote file
system via Other Locations if a remote folder is specified it's ignored
and the remote users home directory is mounted instead.
Example when specifying the following mount location

(edgle scrolling both vert and horz but no 2 finger scrolling). It
makes the touch pad much more usable.

FYI: after installing at first
I tried the newly posted alps-reg-dump above and got an endless string
of output to the terminal. I had to ctrl-c to end it. Note I also
totally lost support for the trackpad. end of out and xpinut --list
below xpint is taken after running apls-reg-dump obvoisly, note how the
trackpad is gone.
Ok I let it run to end and attached the resulting output.
FYI it took over 20 min to run to finsh

The alp trackpad setting in Preferences-Mouse-Touchpad don't work.
The touchpad tab does show up in the Mouse Preferences but no changes
made on the tap work. xinput --list show below. The alp touchpad is
listed but doing even something as simple as 'xinput set-prop 14
