Perhaps the original difficulty was that I was using Opera not only to
display MHT scripts, but also to PRODUCE them. Of course, an MHT script

using the Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 pre-release beta. I am now using
8.04.1, and instead of using the Opera browser to load MHTs (I haven't

I don't know whether it helps with the diagnosis of the problem, but it
is worth noting that both ".mht" and ".r" are scripts (i.e. text files).
