Hello. I've been having this bug for a while now (at least during
Jaunty), I just realized I never reported it.
The Window Previews plugin displays thumbnails of windows when hovering
the mouse over their entries in the tasks panel. For now, it
OK, I managed to combine some more screen-shots to show the second
effect. I've done it with a terminal window, because those are
transparent with my settings, and the effect is more visible. Since this
is a transient effect I just held the mouse over the task-bar and took

I played a bit more with this. I believe the warning comes from GRUB,
because it is displayed in GRUB's video mode instead of the one set for
the kernel. (However, it may just be that the kernel prints this before
actually changing its mode, I'm not sure.)
Also, I tried doing what it says,
I should note that a while ago I started using « sshfs -o 'reconnect' »
for my mounts. I'm not sure if this hides the bug, or if it's gone.
Using this I don't see the same pattern as before. I don't get freezes
or obvious error messages anymore. However, accesses to the SSHFS-

I had checked my sources.list and uninstalled and re-installed the
packages a couple of times, but I think I had in APT's cache something
from a PPA. I force-downgraded to the Ubuntu version and cleaned the

Hello!
I just updated my folks' computer to Jaunty, and I noticed that suspend
doesn't seem to work anymore (but that's for another bug). I tried
running the suspend_test script from checkbox, hoping it'll find what
