I'm experiencing these same issues on my new HP 5310m and using the above mentioned pci=use_crs has no impact. I have no problems with wireless but have no ethernet unless it is plugged in on a cold boot (A restart still results in no ethernet). When plugged in there is no issues with

For anyone who finds this via google, like me, there is a setting in you BIOS on your 5310m (Possibly other notebooks as well) to power save the LAN. I have disabled this and everything now works correctly. YAY! -- System crashes if cable hot unplugged; No interface but lo listed by ifconfig if
