Unable to use brightness controls on Sony VGN-SR390 with Lucid. Using
ATI HD 3000 series, running proprietary fglrx drivers version
2.8.721-0ubuntu7 from the repo. Everything worked fine with Karmic.

After following the steps above and re-installing a few times the ATI
driver is working for 2D/3D; however the function keys for brightness on
my notebook (Sony) are no longer working. (They worked with Karmic +
ATI drivers)

gvfs*, browse back to the bookmarked share and all is well.
