Hours ago I blew away the install... I'll try it again in the RC.
However my card has been a bit flaky even under windows, but I'll do
some real testing when RC comes out.

I do, the three linux-restricted-modules-xxx packages were installed (I
think they were -2.6.20, -common, -generic). If you want me to attach
any log files, let me know; I know my way around the shell.

wireless card, tries to connect for a few seconds but gives up.
