I have attached the /var/log/syslog but the /var/log/installer/partman
did not exist.
I expected starting to install from the menu when booting the desktop

lubuntu 17.04. I have not tried any other drivers to see if that is the
problem. I am using an nvidia gtx 960 which was not released when this

I have for a while been dual booting a stable install alongside a
development install even on external drives. This does not have the grub
panicing if a drive is missing in bios mode with a missing drive and
goes into recovery mode with even less options. Granted the choosing

old ralink wireless G card isntead of the internal broadcom to try and
not connect via ethernet and then download broadcom drivers later. I
then got ubiquity to crash when not connected so I ran over to

To reproduce Downlaod the latest version of lubuntu daily for 17.04 64
bit and it then tries to install grub but does not have the package
installed. I was offline at the time but a bootloader is mandatory for
almost all users. I was installing on an xfs / filesystem but
I still get this in both lubuntu 16.04 and 16.10 with libfm-1.2.4-1 but
not sure fixing this would not break something else. So mark this won't
fix?

Using the steps to reproduce I can reproduce this bug but I can find
this information out through right clicking on network manager applet
and pressing connection information gives me my leased ip adderess from
dhcp. Another workaround is to run ifconfig in a terminal.

I have one more question about this bug are you asking for a graphical
application to adjust touchpad settings to be included by default to
make it easier for new users? On lubuntu for touchpad settings I know
only the default command line synclient is installed.

I do not get this anymore on the lubuntu 16.10 alpha 2 and now has
xfsprogs in the manifest so this seems to have been fixed indepenedntly
of this bug report.

To reproduce install the latest 64 bit amd yakkety lubuntu image.
Install with manual partitoning using an ext4 filesystem alongside
several other ubuntu installations.
I expected this to install the grub bootlaoder after finsihing the
installation. Instead it failed to
chainging desktops does not cause the popup to go away.

I unfortanetly cannot reproduce this bug so I will nead more information.
What filesystem is on /storage?
I tried this using both xfs and ext4 filesystems and it seemed to work.
IF you have a folder with spaces in your home folder does it not run this.
