Thanks a lot. You are absolutely right.
After removing the old stuff from /usr/local/lib und rebuilding
ld.so.cache there is no problem any longer. Xserver runs fine with
version: 2.34.2-0ubuntu2~20.04.1 now.
Sorry for your inconvenience and again, many thanks.
Klaus

Hello Sebastien,
first let me thank you for your fast response!
In the course of narrowing down the problem, I moved latest
libatk-bridge-2.0.so.0.0.0 to a dedicated new subdirectory named sav and
installed previous version:
root@WS010:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu# dpkg -s libatk-bridge2.0-0 |

You also said to "change the bug status to Confirmed." It is my

Release: Ubuntu 17.04
PulseAudio Version: 1:10.0-1ubuntu2
I expected the audio on my system to work without any additional action on my
part. Instead, the audio does not work despite working on Windows.
A few years ago, my onboard sound broke so I bought a pci sound card
I still have the same issue on a lenovo ThinkPad T520:

I am also experiencing this issue with Xubuntu desktop in 11.10.
Light DM becomes unusable, cannot start Ubuntu Software Center or Update
Manager, etc - all related to dbus exiting when networking is stopped.
Alonso's workaround works for me, tho I'm not sure it is the proper long
term solution.

The daily update of Ubuntu has been telling me this for 3 days -- once running
ubuntu kernel 2.6.31 and twice with 2.6.32-33
Notably, I had a similar recurring error 2 months ago when I tried to upgrade
from 2.6.31 to 2.6.32 -- it mentioned gunzip and said it could not

Hi
I Have run into the same error with an ogg file from the same source
(Deutschlandfunk hq-ogg stream) as the user above. So maybe there's an
issue with the ogg stream from DLF? I have not tried to cut any other
ogg or mp3 file yet.
I'm running ubuntu 8.10.
