One way to get the scale.cpp would be to open a terminal and apt-get source
"name of package that has the scale plugin"
that can be found in synaptic, it then downloads the source in the current
directory usially ~/

I Highly dowt that this is accuale bug in 'xfce4-volumed' as it can be
fixed by changeing what card it is amed at if it is told to control the
pulse card it then works perfectly, I think that this I problem with
the configuration of the mixer system in xubuntu to prove my point just

On further observation/thought --
This problem has only occurred three(3) times on many boots. same cd, same hw.
This tells me that the is caused by some sort of race condition,
probably in the initrd.
My suggestion is to mark this as a real, confirmed bug; low
mportance/priority and a notice th
