I've just tried using ndiswrapper a little bit. The wifi card works but I have
problems to connect to my wireless net using WPA2. Maybe I was using the wrong
Win32 drivers, I just tried with one version, the latest for Win2k.
So, I've decided return to iwl driver with 'noapic' kernel
I downloaded and installed Ubuntu Karmic and I still have problems to
use my wireles. I'm using the kernel 2.6.31-14-generic in my Dell XPS
M1530, BIOS A12. Here, a part of dmesg log:

Same problem here. I was having 'Mac in deep sleep!' message the most
times when I booted. So I put the 'noapic' kernel parameter and I get
this issue. Also I tried to install the linux-backports-modules-
wireless-karmic-generic package and my system became unstable and kernel
crashed several

I have the same problem and I coexist with it the last two years. The
bug seems to be random for me, and it goes away after one or two
reboots. Commonly, the log message is Mac in deep sleep and power
saturation level..., but this time I get other diferent from the
