Is there a regression here? Launching a Yakkety 16.10 LXD container
fails to install the core snap, fusermount cannot do its magic:
root@e:~# snap install core
error: cannot perform the following tasks:
- Mount snap "core" (1577) ([start snap-core-1577.mount] failed with exit
status 1: Job for sn
Seems very much like bug #1450144 we detected first on Capomastro but
actually is u-d-m's fault. That bug contains lots of logs and
screenshots and test scenarios for anyone interested. So, right now, I
counted 5 different bugs related to this issue. Seems pretty critical to
me...

Nope, processor.nocst=1 does not help. It still hangs reading the CPU
info and that's it. The only way to boot the mac-type images in such
state is using nr_cpus=1 in the boot options, which is pretty far from
optional... I honestly don't remember how that happened but a few weeks
