I'm running 9.10 (Karmic 32-bit, kernel 2.6.31-20-generic-pae). My
experience of this problem is that removing and reloading the STA module
(wl) reliable yields kernel panics within 10 s - 5 minutes. This appears
only to happen if the driver has been used (i.e., I've connected to a
network) prior

Gathered an strace of gnome-keyring-daemon. I replaced my password with
a placeholder of aaaAa00 (same length and form of the

I have the same issue (though my startup warnings refer to blkid's). I'm
attaching a bootchart that shows the effect. I found that if I disabled
fsck in the /etc/fstab file, boot was much quicker. But that seems
unsafe...

I think it might commit the wrong changes -- when I clicked the sync now
button (which is only available when it's set to manual... which I think is

* apt-get install selinux
* reboot
* login
* open a terminal and check your context (id -Z)
The context should be unconfined_t, however, because the new GDM handles
SELinux differently the context will end up being gdm_t. GDM now

The window for the Login Screen Settings window can be resized. However,
its contents don't scale to the new size, and in normal use, would not
need to be resized. As such, I think that the window should have a fixed
size relative to its contents.
