Me too on this situation. Clean installation of the latest Gutsy, with
all updates applied.
My fix has been to disable the ntp daemon startup in the ntp scripts,
and have the daemon started through an if-up.d script, which simply
sends a 'start' signal to /etc/init.d/ntp. This is workable,
I can confirm this... while I don't know whether this UI choice was
intentional or not, it's definitely true, and doesn't seem like the way
it should be.

Hmm, I don't think it transcoded mine to mp3... the file on the iPod
seemed to be an m4a. I could decode it with faad, for instance, although
it sounded pretty bad. Also, it was the exact same size as the original.

I'm running an updated Gutsy beta, and the cursor frequently disappears
when HWCursor is enabled in Xorg.conf (using the nVidia driver). It
disappears when the busy cursor is displayed, and sometimes when other

Progress bar control in fullscreen resizes unexpectedly

When the seek bar is activated in fullscreen mode, the time/total
display changes to say Seek to time/total. This extra text pushes the
whole seek bar to the left, moving it relative to the mouse position.
