With the launcher being a permanent feature of the desktop now the
workspace switcher should just show the area between launcher and top
bar, as that then is your workspace. You won't be able to use the space
where the launcher is so there is no need to show it at all, it

Same thing really, have to put in my password, pretty much blindly, can
faintly see the login box, but once im logged in i can use the
brightness keys on my laptop to bring visibility back again

bug #828363 isn't the same.. thats a colour issue, this bug is regarding

I like the idea of an android-style solution where as a trash button only
appears when an item is being dragged.
this way it is not taking up valuable space, and is only appearing when it
might be being used.
