I can confirm this bug too. It seems to affect epiphany and firefox-3.5.
Maybe the problem is not with firefox, could be some issue witha a gtk
upload dialog ?

Yes i have compiz/beryl enabled. If you disable, it shows a messing screen with
some of the users but not showing in it in a nice way.
As requested i am attaching the screenshot. This was taked under Feisty but it
occurs on Guty as well.

This problem is critical to corporation deployments.
I'm having the same problem with libnss-ldap + lipam-krb5 authentication under
Feisty and Gutsy.
When gnome-screensaver lock up. It just show a black screen where you are
unable to do not
