unstable (oscillating), when not set to the minimum or maximum values.

Same problem: gvim hangs on at start.
The "-X" tip works fine.
If I stop the gvim instance with "ctrl-C" I get:

I have a similar problem with "Intel Corporation Integrated Graphics
Controller". In my case after rotation the screen is not resized and
xsevers lock up. Commenting "Virtual 16001200" in my xorg.conf
DIDN'T solve the problem.

Kmix doesn't start anymore. I've tried with alsamixer and this is what I get:

After updating the kernel my external USB2 hard drive doesn't load anymore.
It worked fine with the previous kernel. I'm using Kubuntu.
