I decided to do a full upgrade to the 16.04 Beta for one of these Chromebooks, since the intention is to eventually run the LTS on these machines.. The touchpad works for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

I just realised my last message can be misinterpreted. I mean the latest upstream kernel fixes the issue. Not the latest updated kernel at time of writing in 15.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

[Bug 1562155] [NEW] Touchpad stopped functioning after kernel update for Dell Chromebook "Candy"

2016-03-25 Thread Chan Ju Ping
Public bug reported: Upon successful installation of Ubuntu 15.10, I ran the usual updates and after restarting, the touchpad stopped working. I booted into kernel version 4.2.0-16 instead of the updated kernel 4.2.0-34, and the touchpad that had stopped working functioned as usual once more.
