Please make sure that you use ibus-hangul. Ubuntu does not install ibus-hangul by default. The default input method for hangul is not ibus-hangul. It is han2 from ibus-m17n. I think it's a problem of default setting for korean in ubuntu. -- ibus hangul input - incorrect syllable transitions
