I am also unable to disable the system beep. I hear it when closing my
laptop lid (suspend) and opening the lid (waking from suspend).
Hardware is a Lenovo ThinkPad R61i
Settings: System - Preferences - Sound
Alert volume is set to mute and the sound theme is set to No sounds

I can confirm this bug. On my laptop with version 8.10, picnik always
stops responding while attempting to upload a photo. At one point, a
photo appeared to have uploaded, but when I attempted to work with the
photo it stopped responding. After restarting Firefox this photo
